Premier Li Keqiang Meets With Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly Zulkifli Hasan of Indonesia

On the afternoon of September 17, 2015, Premier Li Keqiang met at Ziguangge of Zhongnanhai with Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly Zulkifli Hasan of Indonesia.

Li Keqiang said that China and Indonesia are close neighbors across the ocean, and both have important influence in East Asia. This year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations, and it is hoped that the two countries will actively develop friendly exchanges in all levels, and promote practical cooperation in all fields, so as to better benefit the two peoples and boost the regional stability, prosperity and development.

Li Keqiang pointed out that China is willing to connect the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road initiative with Indonesia's "Global Maritime Fulcrum" plan, carry out international cooperation in production capacity, advance industrialization process and push China-Indonesia cooperation to a new level. Li Keqiang hoped that Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly would strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), so as to enhance the friendship between the two peoples, and push forward the smooth implementation of agreements between bilateral governments and enterprises.

Zulkifli Hasan expressed that Indonesia-China friendship enjoys a time-honored history, and today the two countries share similar development visions. Indonesia would like to, together with China, enhance exchanges in all fields, carry out cooperation in fields such as maritime connectivity, investment, finance and energy, promote contacts between enterprises and people of all circles, and facilitate the comprehensive implementation of bilateral cooperation agreements.
