Seminar on Opportunities and Challenges of China-Indonesia Cooperation held in Jakarta

On July 3, a seminar on "Opportunities and Challenges of China-Indonesia Cooperation" was held in Jakarta. The seminar, co-hosted by Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD), Indonesia Academy of Science (LIPI) and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, was attended by over 70 representatives from government departments, NGOs, research institutions and business circle of both countries.

H.E. Mr. Han Qide, Vice Chairman of CPPCC and President of CPAPD, H.E. Mr. Iskandar Zulkarnain, Chairman of LIPI and H.E. Mr. Arif Havas Oegroseno, Vice Minister of Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs of Indonesia gave keynote speeches respectively on the seminar. H.E. Mr. Xie Feng, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia made remarks on China-Indonesia relations. Officials and experts present exchanged views on how to integrate the two countries' development strategy and enhance practical cooperation under the "Belt and Road" initiative, reaching positive consensus during the seminar.
