A huge colorful art performance was given by 18 beauty queens from five Asian countries, namely China, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia, in Indonesia's resort island of Bali Tuesday night.

Attended by more than 3,000 people, including diplomats from the five countries, the beauty queens showed cultural arts from their countries.

The activity was jointly organized by China's Guangxi TV Station and the Indonesian state TV station (TVRI) in a bid to promote the culture of their respective countries and tourism in the Southeast Asian region.

The beauty queens also took up a mission of friendship, art and Asian Beach Game (ABG), spokesperson for the event Chandar Dewi said.

She said they will also promote the Asian Beach Game in Indonesia which is scheduled to be held in October 2008.
