Mr. Sun Weide, Charge d'Affaires of Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, Attends the Press Briefing on Arrival of Giant Pandas in Indonesia

On 22nd September, Mr. Sun Weide, Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia attended the press briefing on Arrival of Giant Pandas in Indonesia in the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

Mr. Sun Weide expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and Taman Safari Indonesia for facilitating the arrival of the pandas. He said the upcoming arrival of "Caitao" and "Huchun" in Indonesia showcased the deep friendship between the peoples of China and Indonesia, "It is yet another important outcome of bilateral people-to-people exchanges and cooperation." He believed these two pandas would bring joy to the local people, and serve as a new bond to further deepen the friendship.

Ms. Hanni, Senior Staff for the Minister of Environment and Forestry, Ms. Listya, representative of the Director-General for Conservation of Natural Resources and Ecosystem and Mr. Jansen MananSang, Director of Taman Safari Indonesia briefed the media about preparation to welcome the pandas to Indonesia.

"Caitao" and "Huchun", the pair of 7-year-old giant pandas from Sichuan Province of China, will arrive at Taman Safari Indonesia on 28th September.
