On the morning of September 14, 2006 Indonesian Vice President H.E. Jusuf Kalla met China Huadian Corporation(CHD) President He Gong and his accompanying staff at the Vice President's official residence.

He Gong expressed sincere thanks to H.E.Jusuf Kalla for arranging the meeting and his strong support to CHD's development in Indonesia. He also briefed the vice president on the progress of CHD's participation in Asahan No.1 hydropower station, 4 X 600MW mine mouth power plant in South Sumatra, Indonesia's 1000MW PLN acceleration oil-to-coal projects and put forth CHD's advice and issues calling for the Indonesian side's coordination to resolve.

The vice president expressed warm welcome for the visiting CHD delegation and thanked the latter for its support and participation in Indonesian power sector. He also pointed out that as both China and Indonesia are experiencing rapid economic growth and are mutually supplementary in energy cooperation. He hoped China could render even stronger support for Indonesia's power construction as Chinese enterprises are ahead of enterprises of many other countries in terms of power plant construction speed with great overall capability.

The vice president agreed with He Gong on his opinions and suggestions, congratulated on the Asahan Project starting construction, hoped that Huadian could win the bidding for PLN acceleration oil-to-coal projects, and stated that they would make great efforts to solve relevant problems to boost the progress of CHD's projects in Indonesia.

Afterwards, CHD President He Gong also met top management of PLN to exchange views over issues concerning both sides.
